The Central Production Service Shop (CPSS) of Transneft Volga Region has summed up the results of production activities for 1H 2021. 24,000 units of specialised products for the oil pipeline industry worth almost RUB 254 million were produced. Operational plans for 1H 2021 were completed in full.
The CPSS products are certified, patented and meet the GOST R ISO 9001-2015 quality management system requirements. The consumers are Transneft’s subsidiaries. In total, the range includes 177 items and continues to expand. The manufactured products and equipment include: the Volzhanka cold cutter of pipes in five modifications, a collapsible pipeline, high permanent flotation booms, Paker-type devices for pipes’ shutting, icebreakers, units for installation and recovery of air escape valves’ plugs, as well as specialised parts and equipment used for the repair, revamping and construction of pipelines.
In 2021, the CPSS employees master the production of 6 new products’ types. In particular, prototypes of stands for collapsible pipelines, a cap for withdrawing oil and petroleum products from the lower generatrix of pipelines using a vehicle, as well as a casing for thermal insulation of the tank subsurface firefighting system were produced.
In 2H 2021, at the request of Transneft’s subsidiaries, the production of a pneumatic drilling device (SPIN) will begin. The production of this device was mastered last year. The equipment is designed for remote execution of technological holes with a diameter of 12 mm. Drilling such holes is necessary to measure oil level and gauge pressure in a pipeline. The use of the SPIN allows to perform this operation in the pipeline during repairs without presence of an employee in the potential risk zone.
In addition, the CPSS repairs and maintains previously released products: 141 units of equipment were repaired in six months.
Great attention is paid to increasing the share of procurements from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). During the reporting period, 58% of all contracts for the supply of raw materials were concluded with these enterprises. This contributes to an improved competitive component of the procurement system and allows not only complex suppliers to participate in tenders, but also manufacturers. During 1H 2021, the percentage of participation in the auctions of Samara Region’ companies increased, cooperation with which favourably affects the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
