An expert organisation authorised by the Federal Accreditation Service (RusAccreditation) have confirmed the competence and expanded the scope of accreditation of the testing laboratory of the Samara Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) of Transneft Volga Region.
The Samara RPD’s testing laboratory (TL) operates at the oil blending station of the Samara site. The laboratory specialists perform oil analysis according to 11 indicators and provide permanent monitoring of the quality of oil transported via oil pipelines, as well as monitoring of compounding processes.
In connection with anti-epidemic measures, the examination of the laboratory was organised in a video conference format. The members of the expert organisation’s commission assessed the laboratory's equipment with technical means and material resources, the effectiveness of the laboratory's quality management system. In addition, the laboratory employers demonstrated a high level of competence in conducting research using various methods, as well as knowledge of the technique of working with modern equipment and the methods used.
The laboratory’s research capabilities were increased, including the possibilities of determining organochlorine compounds were expanded, taking into account the tightening of the standard for this indicator. Experts’ report certifies that lab operation meets all accreditation criteria. The expansion of the accreditation scope confirms the high quality and reliability of research related to oil acceptance and transportation via Transneft Volga Region’s oil trunk pipelines.
By the end of this year, all laboratory instruments will be connected to the Transneft’s Unified Laboratory Information System, which will fully automate the stages of collection, accounting, monitoring, analysis, exchange, presentation and storage of oil quality data.
