Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs at oil pumping stations and oil trunk pipelines. The works were carried out in Samara and Volgograd Regions as well as in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the scheduled shutdown of the Bavly – Kuybyshev, the Guryev – Kuybyshev, the Mukhanovo – Kuybyshev and the Samara – Lopatino oil pipelines, specialists repaired stop valves at the Bavly line operation dispatcher station and the Samara-1 oil pumping station (PS) and also eliminated ten defective pipe sections. Three defects at a header of the Bolshaya Chernigovka PS mainline pump units were cut out. The work was carried out following the results of earlier diagnostics to improve reliability of oil transportation and storage.
In addition, after in-line inspection at the Kuzmichi-1 oil pumping station supply pipeline, temporary pipeline clean-up and inspection tool (PIT) traps were dismantled. The works were carried out with a decrease of oil transportation volume at the Kuybyshev – Lisichansk oil pipeline section.
In total, 276 workers of the Samara, Buguruslan and Volgograd Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates were involved in the repairs, 101 pieces of equipment were used. The complex of scheduled works was performed taking labor protection requirements into account; the company’s workers used the necessary personal protective equipment in order to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection.
The oil pipelines work was resumed on schedule, oil transportation is currently carried out under the normal protocol.
Scheduled repairs and maintenance of facilities of the oil trunk pipeline system allow Transneft Volga Region to maintain the high level of reliability of the oil transportation process.
