The employees of Transneft Volga Region have conducted a series of New Year volunteer events. A total of 11 volunteer campaigns have been organised at the company’s executive office and branches since the beginning of December and until the Christmas holidays. More than 500 people participated in them.
The employees of Transneft Volga Region’s executive office organised the traditional Christmas Tree of Kindness New Year volunteer campaign for orphans, children left without parental care, and for children with disabilities in Chapayevsk (Samara Region). The employees fulfilled the New Year wishes of the children indicated in their letters to Father Frost by buying presents at their own expense.
More than 100 employees of the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) organised a fundraising campaign to buy gifts for children from large, low-income and disadvantaged families, disabled children and boarding schools’ pupils as per the Let's Give Children a New Year campaign. The gifts were handed over to an integrated social service centre and the special (correctional) boarding school (Buguruslan).
In addition, the branch’s employees invited residents of the Aistenok Social and Rehabilitation Centre for Minors to Nikolay Gogol Buguruslan Drama Theatre to the Flying Ship play and prepared a sweet gift for each child.
Employees of the Bavly line operation dispatcher station (LODS) congratulated boarders of the Semya Social Shelter for Children and Adolescents in Bavly Municipal District, as well as raised funds for Bavly District Organisation of Persons with Disabilities. Volunteers of the Krotovka LODS prepared gifts for children from the Solnechny Kinel-Cherkassy Social Rehabilitation Centre for Minors in Podgorny Settlement.
Employees of the Central Production Service Shop handed over gifts, educational games and school supplies for 45 children of Nash Dom social rehabilitation centre for minors in Novokuybyshevsk. Volunteers of the Saratov RPD presented New Year gifts to 32 pupils of the Centre for Social Support to Families and Children in Saratov.
Due to the current anti-epidemic restrictions, all gifts were handed over to representatives of the administrations of these social institutions to present them to children.
Volunteers of the executive office and the Samara RPD handed New Year gifts to doctors and junior medical staff of the infectious diseases department of the Samara Medical University’s clinics, which was converted to a hospital for patients with the coronavirus infection.
More than 100 residents of the Miloserdie autonomous non-profit organisation of social services for the population received gifts from employees of the Volgograd RPD. The funds raised by the volunteers were used to purchase food sets and personal hygiene products.
