Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs at oil pumping stations and oil trunk pipelines (OTP). The work was carried out in Samara, Volgograd and Rostov Regions.
In order to ensure the reliability of station’s operating facilities, specialists of the Volgograd Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) connected the mainline pump unit at the Kuzmichi PS after replacement and disconnected a similar pump for subsequent replacement at the Yekaterinovka LODS. The pumping equipment manufactured by Transneft Oil Pumps (Chelyabinsk) has increased efficiency and is characterised by extended repair interval and increased service life. The measures were performed during a reduced mode of oil transportation via the Kuybyshev – Tikhoretsk OTP. After completion of comprehensive testing, the new mainline pump will be commissioned at the Kuzmichi PS.
To maintain a high level of industrial and environmental safety of the oil transportation and storage system, specialists of the Samara RPD replaced 3 sections of the Kuleshovka – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipeline. In addition, stop valves and process equipment were repaired at the oil blending station and the Samara-2 PS. During the works, oil transportation via the Kuleshovka – Kuybyshev OTP was suspended for 60 hours as per schedule.
The works were completed as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme taking into account requirements of industrial safety and occupational health. Oil transportation via the OTP was resumed on schedule and is currently being carried out under the standard protocol.
