Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs at four oil pipelines in Samara Region.
The works were carried out at the Buguruslan – Syzran, the Mukhanovo – Kuybyshev, the Pokrovka – Syzran and the Krotovka – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) during a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation. The works involved specialists from the Buguruslan, the Samara and the Saratov Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates.
As part of the tank revamping at the Mukhanovo oil pumping station, process pipelines’ constructed sections with a total length of 200 m were connected. The works will ensure the serviceability of equipment and pipelines operating under pressure and their safety for people’s life and health.
In order to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of in-line inspection at the oil trunk pipelines, welded connections with inwards protrusion were eliminated. Stop valves and process equipment were repaired and replaced. The work performed will help to maintain a high level of industrial and environmental safety of the operating facilities.
The scheduled repairs were performed in accordance with the Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme for Transneft Volga Region’s facilities. The goal was to ensure uninterrupted functioning of facilities.
After completion of the planned works, transportation of oil along the trunk pipelines was resumed according to the schedule and is conducted under the standard protocol.
