Employees of Transneft Volga Region have initiated volunteer campaigns in Volgograd and Orenburg Regions. The implementation of volunteer initiatives included several areas.
Volunteers of the Volgograd Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) implemented projects to support large families, as well as boarders of social institutions. More than a hundred employees of the Volgograd RPD participated in fundraising for purchase of items of basic necessities for families in Volgograd and Volgograd Region. Four large families in difficult life situations received assistance from volunteers.
In addition, young specialists of the Volgograd RPD provided assistance to the Holy Trinity Orthodox Social Centre. The funds raised were used to purchase food, personal hygiene products and childcare products.
Volunteers of the Buguruslan RPD held volunteer environmental events in Buguruslan. Olga Silvanovich, a clerk of the Buguruslan RPD executive office, initiated the Live the Bolshoy Kinel River environmental campaign in Buguruslan. More than twenty bags of garbage with a total volume of more than 2.1 thousand litres were collected on a section of the Bolshoy Kinel River bank with a length of about 5 km. The collected garbage was taken out for further disposal.
The town volunteers have also joined the two environmental clean-up events of the Buguruslan RPD. It was decided to hold a townwide exhibition and sale of drawings and photographs depicting nature of the Bolshoy Kinel River as part of the Live Bolshoy Kinel River environmental campaign, and to improve the bank area and plant trees using the proceeds.
Volunteers from among the young specialists of the Buguruslan RPD continue to look after mass graves at the Uspenskoye Cemetery in Buguruslan. In July, the grass was mowed and removed, the territory was cleaned, the benches were painted.
The volunteer movement in Transneft Volga Region’s divisions is actively developing. Employees of the company help orphanages, large families, orphans, the elderly and the disabled, carry out environmental campaigns and voluntary cleanups.
