Transneft Volga Region has conducted a firefighting and tactical drill (F&TD) at the Krasnoarmeyskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS) of the Saratov Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD).
The event was attended by members of the contract fire guard unit of the Krasnoarmeysk fire station, the repair and maintenance personnel and members of the Volunteer Fire Brigade (VFB) of the Krasnoarmeyskaya LODS.
The goal is to check the readiness of the parties for effective interaction and prompt response in possible emergency situations.
According to the drill scenario, a fire broke out on the mud-trap filter site. After receiving the message, the crew on duty of the contractual fire guard unit, as well as members of the VFB and the station management, promptly arrived at the site of the simulated fire.
The station’s personnel performed the necessary technological switching, the crew on duty of the contractual fire guard unit led by the head of the station began to extinguish the simulated fire on the mud-trap filter site. At the same time, a firefighting operations centre led by the head of the station was created.
The drill was attended by 20 people, two units of special-purpose vehicles were used. During the drill, the station's engineering and technical personnel and operating personnel used the necessary personal protective equipment.
Based on the results of the drill, the effectiveness of the interaction of the crew on duty of the contractual fire guard unit with the LODS divisions that took part in extinguishing the simulated fire received a positive assessment. The personnel of the Krasnoarmeyskaya LODS confirmed their readiness to eliminate emergency situations. The firefighting and tactical drill programme was successfully completed in full.
Maintaining a high level of readiness of the company's specialists, including the personnel of contract business units, as well as members of voluntary fire brigades, is a priority task in the implementation of industrial safety policy at the facilities of Transneft Volga Region.
