Transneft Volga Region has finished scheduled repairs at the company`s oil pipelines and facilities in Samara, Saratov and Volgograd Regions.
The works were performed as part of Transneft Upper Volga’s technical upgrading, revamping, and overhaul programme. The goal was to ensure safe operation of oil trunk pipelines.
During a planned 72-hour shutdown of the Kuybyshev – Tikhoretsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP) in Samara Region, specialists of the Central Maintenance Division (CMD) connected a newly built header between the booster pump station and the safety valves assembly at the Samara-1 oil pumping station (PS).
Specialists from the Saratov Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) replaced three gate valves and performed midlife repairs of a gate valve at the Borodayevka PS. At the same time, midlife repairs of a gate valve at the Krasnoarmeyskaya-1 PS were carried out.
CMD teams of the Volgograd RPD completed the first stage of works on replacement of process pipelines at the Kuzmichi-1 PS, carried out midlife repairs of four gate valves at the Zenzevatka PS and three gate valves at the Yekaterinovka line operation dispatcher station (LODS). Besides, mainline pump unit No. 2 was cut out at the Yekaterinovka LODS for further replacement.
During a planned 48-hour shutdown of the Zhirnovsk – Volgograd oil trunk pipeline, CMD teams of the Volgograd RPD connected newly built process pipelines and replaced two gate valves at the Yefimovka LODS.
In total, 276 persons and 141 pieces of equipment were involved in the repairs.
Oil transportation was resumed on schedule and under the standard protocol.
