Samara District Court of Samara Region has considered a criminal case against an organised criminal group consisting of E. Krivenko, A. Trubnikov, A. Tselykh, R. Rozakov, D. Odinokov, R. Kholmamadov and A. Shaldybin, suspected of theft of oil through an illegal tapping at the Guryev – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipeline, running in Volzhsky District of Samara Region.
The criminals were detained by officers of the FSB Division in Samara Region during a search operation on the night of 17-18 March 2017. Part of the criminal group was on the territory of the base, located in Prosvet Village of Volga District of Samara Region, to which the offshoot from the criminal tapping led. In addition, five cars with a total of 138 tonnes of stolen oil were found.
The investigation established that the members of the criminal group organised the oil theft from an illegal tapping at the 1384th km of the Guryev – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipeline. The theft was carried out through the 850 m offshoot made using a directional drill unit. From November 2016 to March 2017, the members of the criminal group stole 2.6 thousand tonnes of oil worth more than RUB 45 million from the Guryev – Kuybyshev OTP.
Upon the court resolution, all the participants were found guilty. E. Krivenko and A. Trubnikov were sentenced to imprisonment in a strict-regime correctional colony for 8 years and a RUB 6 million fine. A. Tselykh, R. Rozakov, D. Odinokov, R. Halmamadov and A. Shaldybin were sentenced to imprisonment in a general regime penal colony for terms of 2.5 to 6 years.
