Transneft Volga Region Completes Planned Repairs of Trunk Pipelines and Onsite Facilities

Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs at the Bavly – Kuybyshev, Buguruslan – Syzran oil trunk pipelines and onsite facilities in the area of responsibility of the Buguruslan and Samara Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates (RPD).

During a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation at the Pokhvistnevo – Krotovka section of the Buguruslan – Syzran OPS and at the Bavly – Krotovka section of the Bavly – Kuybyshev OPS, specialists of the Company cut out two defects.

Four defects were cut out of process pipelines at the Samara RPD oil blending station, a duplicate valve was cut out and four offshoots at the drainage pipeline of the oil flow regulators were replaced at the Samara-2 oil pumping station (OPS). The Almetievsk — Kuybyshev-2 and the Kuybyshev – Lisichansk OPSs operated under the standard protocol during the works.

Specialists of the Buguruslan RPD cut out defects at the header of the mainline pump unit of the Pokhvistnevo oil pumping station and mainline pump unit No. 1 at the Komsomolets modular group pumping station (MGPS) for their further replacement.

The works were performed as part of the technical upgrading, revamping, and overhaul (TUR&OH) programme. The goal is to modernise and improve the reliability of pipeline system facilities.

Oil pumping was resumed in accordance with the schedule and is currently conducted under the standard protocol.
