Employees of Transneft Volga Region Plant Pine Seedlings as Part of Regional Environmental Campaign

Employees of Transneft Volga Region have taken part in the Samara Region Forests Restoration regional environmental campaign.

Young specialists and employees of the division for environmental safety and rational nature management of the executive office and the Samara Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) planted about 2,000 pine seedlings on about 1.5 hectares near the village of Novosemeikino in Samara Region.

The event was organised by the Social and Environmental Rehabilitation Foundation of Samara Region. The purpose of the campaign is to restore the forests of Samara Region, develop social activity of the region through involvement in environmental protection.

The event was attended by 70 volunteers including representatives of non-governmental organizations of the region, students of higher educational institutions and Transneft Volga’s employees.

Transneft Volga’s personnel participate in the Samara Region Forests Restoration campaign annually. The Company’s volunteers cleaned forest plots and a park near the Samara Arena stadium in 2017, and planted oaks in the Samara Zagorodny Park and birch seedlings in the Tolyatti forestry of Samara Region in 2018.
