Transneft Volga Region Completes Scheduled Repairs on Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled works at the Krasnoarmeisk – Saratov Refinery oil trunk pipeline (OTP), as well as at the Tinguta IPS (initial pumping station).

The repairs were carried out in the territories of Saratov and Volgograd Regions.

During a 70-hour shutdown of the Krasnoarmeisk – Saratov Refinery OTP, specialists of the Saratov RPD central maintenance division cut six defects out of the line.

At the Tinguta initial pumping station, a crew of the Volgograd RPD’s central maintenance division installed an air escape valve into the header from the railway loading rack to the tank farm of the station.

All the scheduled repairs were performed within the comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme of Transneft Volga Region. The objective is to maintain the high reliability of oil and petroleum products trunk pipelines’ operation.

All the facilities are currently operating under the standard protocol.
