From 28 to 30 May, Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs at Buguruslan modular group pumping station and the Kuleshovka – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipeline.

The work was completed by specialists of the maintenance and repair divisions of Samara and Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates.

Two check valves were replaced and midlife repairs of another check valve were performed at Buguruslan MGPS within 72 hours. The repairs were carried out under the protocol for reduced oil transportation on the Nurlino – Samara section of the Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipeline.

Five defects were cut out at the section from 0 to 53 km of the Kuleshovka – Kuybyshev OTP line. The repairs were completed within 48 hours without activating the protocol for reduced oil transportation via the pipeline.

The works were carried out as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme implemented by Transneft Volga Region in order to ensure uninterrupted and safe operation of its oil trunk pipelines.
