Transneft Volga Region Completes Scheduled Repairs of Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Volga Region has completed scheduled repairs of the Nizhnevartovsk — Kurgan — Kuybyshev, Kuybyshev — Lisichansk and Kuybyshev — Unecha-2 oil trunk pipelines (OTPs).

The work was completed within 72 hours by specialists of the maintenance and repair divisions of Samara, Buguruslan and Volgograd Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates.

Two tees with dead-end sections were cut out at Samara-2 oil pumping station, and a midlife repair of three valves was carried out. At Krasny Yar LODS and Sukhodolnaya PS the specialists cut out mainline pump units for subsequent installation of new ones. Midlife repairs of five check valves were carried out at Andreyanovskaya LODS, four defects were cut out and two check valves were serviced as part of midlife repairs at Krasnoarmeyskaya-2 PS.

During a shutdown of the Nurlino — Samara section of the Nizhnevartovsk — Kurgan — Kuybyshev OTP, midlife repairs of two check valves were carried out and main pump unit No. 2 was cut out at Yerzovka modular pumping station.

On the Kuybyshev — Unecha-2 oil trunk pipeline, the Samara — Klin section, a section of the intra-farm pumping pipeline with a pressure regulator was connected and gate valves were dismantled. Three headers of booster pump units with two valves were connected at Samara-1 PS.

Specialists of Saratov RPD performed midlife repairs of three valves during a scheduled shutdown of the Krasnoarmeysk — Saratov Refinery OTP.

The planned repairs involved 275 people and 76 pieces of equipment and specialty vehicles.

The repairs were conducted as part of the implementation of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme of Transneft Volga Region. The goal is to ensure uninterrupted and safe operation of oil trunk pipelines.
