Transneft Volga Region Organises Family Sports Competition

Transneft Volga Region has held the finals of a sports competition for the Company employees and their families.

The Sporting Family competition was held for a second year in a row. This year, 42 families have taken part in the event.

The competition consisted of two stages. At the first stage, the winners were selected at the level of regional oil pipeline directorates, then the family who won took part in the final competition in Samara.

Six family teams took part in the final: representatives of Samara, Saratov, Volgograd and Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates, the Central Production Service Shop and the executive office.

The competition programme included two relay races, separate stages for parents and children as well as creative tasks. Each family has prepared a presentation of their team: a poem, a dance or a song.

In team standings, first place was won by the Sozonovs team. The family head, Aleksandr Sozonov, works as a commodity loading operator at Krotovka loading rack in Buguruslan RPD.

Second place in team standings was taken by the family of Aleksandr Ustinov, a mechanical engineer of Bolshaya Chernigovka LODS of Samara RPD. Third place went to the family of Christina Grigoryeva, a legal adviser of the executive office.
The winners received commemorative diplomas and valuable gifts.

Sports events, including tournaments in winter and summer sports as well as sports festivals and family competitions, which are held annually by Transneft Volga Region, are an important element of the corporate culture. The events contribute to the formation of intracorporate relations, the promotion of physical culture and a healthy lifestyle, as well as the strengthening of family traditions.
