Transneft Volga Region Completes Planned Repairs at Oil Pipelines

Transneft Volga Region has completed planned works at the Kuibyshev – Lisichansk, Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuibyshev and Kuibyshev – Unecha-2 oil trunk pipelines as well as their onsite facilities.
During a planned 72-hour stop of the Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuibyshev OTP in the Nurlino – Samara section, specialists of Buguruslan RPD replaced three gate valves at Popovka modular group pumping station (MGPS) and a carried out midlife repair of a line gate valve.
Teams of the central maintenance divisions of Samara and Saratov RPDs carried out works on the Kuybyshev – Lisichansk OTP in the Samara – Krasny Yar section. The specialists carried out midlife repairs of three gate valves and eliminated two air escape valves on the line part. At Samara-2 oil pumping station (PS), a bypass line of mud-trap filters with a gate valve not involved in the technological process was cut out, a stop valve unit was connected to the pumping collector of the oil blending station. Two main pump units (MPUs) were replaced at Borodayevka-2 and Krasnoarmeyskaya-2 oil pumping stations.
Specialists of Samara RPD performed a set of works on process pipelines and inlet manifold of booster pump units Nos. 1 and 4 of Samara-1 OPS during a scheduled shutdown of the Kuibyshev–Unecha-2 OTP at the Samara – Klin section.
The planned repairs were performed as part of Transneft Volga Region’s technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme. The goal of the work is to upgrade the equipment and ensure reliable operation of the oil trunk pipelines.
