The event was organised by the Foundation for Social and Ecological Rehabilitation of Samara Region within the framework of the Restoration of Samara Region’s Forests regional project.
The project aims to restore the forest areas of Samara region lost as a result of fires, as well as to develop social activity of the region's population through involving them in caring for the environment.
Along with Transneft Volga Region’s volunteers, representatives of regional non-governmental organisations as well as students of colleges and vocational schools participated in the event, the total number of volunteers having exceeded one hundred.
