Transneft – Volga Region has finalized scheduled work in the following oil trunk pipelines (OTPs): Mukhanovo – Kuybyshev, Krotovka – Kuybyshev, Buguruslan – Syzran, Samara – Lopatino, Almetievsk – Kuybyshev, Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuybyshev, Bavly – Kuybyshev and Kaltasy – Kuybyshev since the start of November.
On November 7-10, 2017, the scheduled shutdown of the Mukhanovo – Kuybyshev oil pipeline took place for 66 hours for work performance. Over that time, professionals cut out four defective sections at OTP and replaced four locking valves in the Mukhanovo NPS, based on prior diagnosis. The unit for measuring oil quality parameters (QMU) was connected at the same time at the oil blending station (OBS) in the Mukhanovo – Kuybyshev and Krotovka – Kuybyshev oil trunk pipelines.
During the second scheduled shutdown, on November 14-16, the greatest work scope was performed at Buguruslan – Syzran and Samara – Lopatino oil trunk pipelines. The deadlock sections with three locking valves in technological pipelines were cut and the pump was installed at Pokrovskaya NPS, in the responsibility area of the Samara ROPD, according to the regulation. At Samara 1 NPS, the receipt and exhaust collectors of the booster pump units (BPU) were connected, with the pump replacement at Samara – Lopatino OTP, and intermediate overhaul of two locking valves of the Oil Quantity and Quality Metering System (OQQMS) was conducted.
The newly built pump station was connected to the locking valve assemblies at OBS in the Almetievsk – Kuybyshev OTP. The work was performed without reduction in the oil pipeline pumping volume.
During the 96-hour scheduled shutdown of the Buguruslan modular group pumping station (MGPS), the pipeline surge relief system (PSRS) was revamped, and the trunk pump No. 1 was assembled, with connection of technological pipelines of the auxiliary systems.
During the scheduled shutdown of Krotovka – Novokuybyshev Refinery section of the Bavny – Kuybyshev OTP on November 21-23, 2017, the newly built crossing over the Samara – Pugachev – Engels – Volgograd pipeline was connected.
Connection of the newly built pumping station to the locking valve assemblies and the oil blending module continued in Kaltasy – Kuybyshev OTP. Work was performed without the oil pipeline pumping mode reduction.
Work was performed as part of the comprehensive program of technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul of oil trunk pipeline facilities. The technological efforts will enable to maintain high operating reliability in Transneft – Volga Region oil trunk pipelines.
The oil pipelines were launched as scheduled.
