Delegation of Chevron corporation visited production facilities of Transneft Volga Region, JSC

On 04-05 October 2017 representatives of Chevron, the US corporation, arrived on a working visit to Transneft Volga Region in the framework of implementation of the programme for cooperation between Transneft and Chevron.

The delegation was composed of representatives of Chevron`s Pipeline Risk Management Directorate: Mark Rand, Jal Senta and David Happenstoll; Pipeline Integrity Assurance Adviser Satish Kulkarni, Manager for Commercial Affairs Nikolai Avdulov and Senior Geologist Andrey Ovsyannikov.

During the business meeting, Andrey Syumak, Director General, introduced the US specialists into the enterprise`s activity, told about implementation of investment projects, programmes for assurance of industrial and ecological safety and energy saving. Chevron`s representatives visited the control centre from where control over oil transportation via oil trunk pipelines of Transneft Volga Region is performed.

During the working visit, the US specialists attended line operation dispatcher station (LODS) “Krotovka” at the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD). Dmitry Piskarev, Chief Engineer of Buguruslan RPD, told the guests about peculiarities of operation of the station`s main equipment. The delegation visited the tank farm, tank-farm oil pump station, inspected compounding unit and production and storm wastewater treatment station. During the general tour over the site, by the example of construction of 10,000 cubic meter-reservoir No. 7, information on stages and specifics of up-to-date reservoir construction was presented to the delegation.

Chevron`s representatives also visited loading facility at LODS“Krotovka” and inspected jet absorption oil vapor recovery unit (JAOVRU). In visiting facilities of LODS“Krotovka”, special attention was paid to the new equipment produced under the import substitution programme.

Reflecting on the visit to Transneft Volga Region`s facilities, Chevron`s representatives have noted the high level of technical equipment and the personnel`s proficiency at LODS “Krotovka” of Buguruslan RPD.
