Transneft Volga Region, JSC completed planned work at oil pipelines and OPS

Transneft Volga Region performed large-scale planned repair work at linear portion of oil trunk pipelines and facilities of oil pump stations (OPS). Repair work was performed in Samara, Volgograd and Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates (RPD) during four planned shutdowns of oil trunk pipelines (OTP). The planned repairs were performed in order to increase reliability and safety of oil transportation along OTP of Transneft Volga Region.

Thus, 28 defects were eliminated and four defective air escape valves were cut out at linear portion of Buguruslan – Syzran, Guryev – Kuibyshev, Kuleshovka – Kuibyshev, Mukhanovo – Kuibyshev, Kuibyshev – Lisichansk and Bavly – Kuibyshev. Medium repair of two valves was performed at Buguruslan – Syzran OTP and pressurizers were installed at eight wedge-action valves at Pokrovka – Krotovka OTP.

To the extent of implementation of the project of revamping of an oil blending station (OBS) at Guryev – Kuibyshev OTP, an interblock binding of the oil quantity and quality metering system (OQQMS) was built and brought into operation. Besides, new collectors of tanks were connected to process pipelines of Samara-1 OPS. Medium repair of 17 valves was performed at Lyubetskaya, Krasnoarmeyskaya-1, Pokrovskaya and Kuzmichi-1 OPS.

About 60 units of special vehicles and equipment and more than 200 employees were used during each of the planned shutdowns of OTP. The work was performed in strict compliance with the schedule under the Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Program for 2017.
