On 19 October 2015, a comprehensive trial of the jet absorption oil vapor recovery unit (JAOVRU) with service fluids was performed in the rail tank cars loading facility “Krotovka” at the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Department of Transneft Volga Region, JSC; specialized design institutes representatives took part in the trials. The unit’s efficiency reached 84 % during loading of the railway rolling stock of 54 tank cars, which is consistent with the target performance parameters. The purification degree of the vapor, gas, and air mix entering the unit ranges from 65 % to 88 % for all mix components. Inventive technical solutions were applied during the JAOVRU construction; besides, all unit components were manufactured in the Russian Federation.
This unit is part of the rail oil tank cars loading facility “Krotovka” revamping project being implemented at the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Department of Transneft Volga Region, JSC. The unit is scheduled to be put in service on 1 November 2015.
A jet absorption oil vapor recovery unit (JAOVRU) is a unit designed for oil vapor recovery from exhaust gases (the vapor, gas, and air mix, displaced from rail tank cars during pressurized oil loading) prior to their release to atmosphere via a vent stack.
