Transneft Volga Region, JSC Holds an Occupational Safety Day

Transneft Volga Region, JSC traditionally pays increased attention to the occupational safety of its employees. The Company has adopted the Occupational Safety and Health Policy, which defines the protection of life and health of employees, the improvement of the safety of production processes, the reduction of the risk of accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases as the main priorities of activities of the Company.

On April 28, Transneft Volga Region held an Occupational Safety Day for the first time. This event was timed to coincide with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work and brought together representatives of all the five branches of the company: Buguruslan, Volgograd, Samara, Saratov Regional Oil Pipeline Departments and the Central Production Service Shop (CPSS). During the opening ceremony, a welcoming speech was given by A.L. Syumak, General Director of Transneft Volga Region, JSC. Teams of five employees demonstrated their excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety through participation in 12 contests.

According to the results of the contest held under the title of «The Best Division of Labor Protection», the Challenge Cup and diplomas went to the team of the CPSS of the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Department.
